BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met here on Wednesday with Tony Blair, former British prime minister.

Wen and Blair exchanged views on issues of common concern.

Blair served as prime minister from 1997 to 2007. He is now envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East on behalf of the United Nations, the European Union, the United States and Russia.
