| The Chinese Government Provides the Far East Region of Russia with Water Quality Analyzer and Active Carbon |

Qin Gang, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the press that in order to help the Far East region of Russia to address the impact that the water pollution disaster of the Songhua River might bring to the region, China has informed Russia on November 29th that it will provide Khabarovsk Territory and the Federation of the Jewish Communities of Russia with a certain number of water quality analyzers and a certain amount of active carbon. Currently, the said materials are on their way to the Far East of Russia. The leaders of the Khabarovsk Territory expressed gratitude for this, saying China's assistance is very timely and necessary and it demonstrates the efficiency of the Chinese government, the friendly feelings of the Chinese people for their Russian counterpart, the compliance of the Chinese government's words and deeds as well as the Chinese government's sincerity and determination to overcome the difficulty together with Russia. Qin stressed China will continue to enhance communication and cooperation in the principle of China-Russia strategic cooperative spirit and with a responsible attitude so as to remove the impact of the disaster as early as possible. |
