H.E. Mr. Gong Xiaosheng, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Gul, President of the Republic of Turkey, on November 25, 2008. The president welcomed Ambassador Gong, expressed his pleasure about the development of friendly cooperation between China and Turkey, and expected to visit China and exchange views on issues of common concern with H.E. Mr. Hu Jintao, the President of the People's Republic of China.

During the meeting, Ambassador Gong praised Turkey for its success achieved in the economic, cultural, and social development. He said that he was pleased to be Chinese Ambassador to Turkey and he would make every effort to take the bilateral relations to a new stage.
